The attitude Thomas is displaying is the same attitude that has the media slobbing all over MJ’s knob. Thomas? Prima-donna and too sensitive? Jordan? Fierce competitor and alpha male. I like MT’s attitude. Keep manifesting a chip on your shoulder.

I watched MJ throughout his career. Personally, I think he's a class act. Jordan is my 2nd favorite pro athlete behind Drew Brees. He never showed his ass in public. I didn't see the documentary but if it will change my opinion of him then I don't want to see it.

You’d be in for a treat.

You won't like MJ then. Nor will you like most of these players. They use this as motivation. I've trained with Olympians which are similar, if not more motivated than these guys - they will use anything to motivate themselves and their level of concentration, focus, and discipline is like nothing I've ever seen anyone do at anything. But, as Jerry Rice says, not everyone is trying to be the greatest, but those very select few at the very top are and they do things very differently. We think we know but as Jim Mora said, we really don't know - in this case we really have no idea how difficult it is to get and stay at that level.

That's just sh1t-talking, and that is very tame compared to what is said on the field. It's actually part of football if you have ever played.

It has nothing to do with race, age, character... Namath, Bradshaw, Alzedo... If you want to hear the worst/best of it mic the line.

Mike is just having fun with him, in that way the smartest guy in the room screws with the people he knows think they are.

Competitive nature doesn't just show up on Sunday.

MJ responded to people that personally challenged him, or said something negative about him. And his responses were face to face. And don't tell me that things would have been different if MJ had twitter in his playing days, because he is about as private as a celebrity can be, even now.

That's different from responding to something that was not a negative about you, but a compliment to an opponent the guy has actually faced, and making your spat public.

I don't think that makes him a "bad" guy. It just makes him look insecure. If somebody talks trash to me on the field, the first thing I'll do is prove him wrong, and then, yeah, I'll probably have something to say. I don't do twitter, because it's garbage. If I were a celebrity, I'd be even less inclined to join it. Way too public a place to have a cat fight.

Just my two rusty pennies.

To the points already made MT and MJ are similar. Believe as you wish, the only difference being platform availability and changes in communication.
