It started innocuously, with the question of whether it’s harder to catch a pass while covered by Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore or to break up a pass while guarding Saints receiver Michael Thomas. Then, Dolphins receiver DeVante Parker chimed in.

Parker picked the Gillmore option.

Michael Thomas sure loves to talk ****! I don't care though as long as he's a Saint. I don't follow the athletes off the field....it is usually a big disappointment when you find out your heroes are clowns in real life.

To be fair, I think that way about any player that isn't a Saint... Its a distinction without a difference for me

I fell differently about the "innocuously" point of view... Anyone in NFL media knows you don't have to say Michael Thomas three times to get him to show up..

Neither of these two players represented themselves very well here, after the initial harmless OPINION of Parker (even if we don't agree with him). But Thomas, being the superior player over Parker, should probably have been happy knowing that he is just that. Parker is never going to face Thomas head to head. He has actually run routes against Gilmore, and will continue to do so in the future. Why would anyone expect that his answer would have been anyone other than Gilmore? How does THAT get under your skin, if you are Thomas?

There's pride, and then there's just petty jealousy of anyone getting more "love" than you. Imagine having what this guy has, and still finding the time to be butt hurt about something completely meaningless.

	If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.
