Proof Brady is declining and Brees is not

Three observations:

- The sheer volume of brand placement in that video LOL!
- He talks a lot but doesn't say much.
- He fails to identify Michael Thomas as a very big contributing factor in Drew Brees's completion %. This alone invalidates his premise.

Brady is older so not really a fair comparison IMO. Pats D last year was also one of the best of all time. Scored a lot of points and kept the field short. Brady also didn't have any reliable targets like a MT or quasi receiver Kamara. He did lean on his RB but he's no Kamara.

I do like the Moon comment on legs giving out and compromising throws. The arm strength is still there but most don't talk about legs getting tired. I use to run a lot but cut it back to a couple days a week. Just can't bounce back as quick anymore. Brees really needs his legs for more momentum on the ball.

I think they’re both declining. Lucky for them, their decline is better than most of the leagues peak. Injury is the concern for me when it comes to Brees. Gut feeling tells me we’ll see Jameis. The offense will be more explosive, but it might come with a rise in turnovers from Favre Jr.

They keep talking about how well Brady takes care of his body, but I think Brees actually does a much better job at it. While I don't deny that pliability helps, I'm so tired of hearing that word. He's exaggerated the effects of it. When Brady was the same age as Brees, Brees was better. Brees is the type of person that spends like 70% of his day just working on keeping his body in peak physical condition in any way he can. Brees would fall on a blade for his team I think. I think for Brady it is more about him, for Brees it's more about the team. That's why he was so quick to metaphorically prostrate himself in front of the world over his recent comments. It wasn't about saving his reputation(well at least not mostly, though I think he views the entire city as part of the team), it was about keeping the team in unity.

True. Brees is always about team. Always has been.

Drew's injury last year would have happened to anyone, I don't care if you are 24 or 112. His hand hit in an awkward way, it's not like something gave out on him.

He had thrown almost 10,000 passes before that fluke hand caught him just right to cause that injury. You are correct. That could have happened to any QB, 21 or 41 in age, but how many would have recovered that quickly to complete 29 of 30 attempts after to set a new NFL record, huh?

Exactly.

I thought he gave me good points to argue next time someone says that Brady is better than Drew. He gave me facts to use. Oh, and he's going to need a bigger desk for his product placements.
