You aren't alone.

I thought it was absolutely criminal to give a down hill power back only 7 carries in the most important, meaningful game (wildcard) of the season where everything was on the line. The guy was a bruiser in 2019. No need to get cute late in the 4th with end arounds or gadget plays. Let LM wear down defenses. Bill Parcels needs to tell coach to watch a few of those Giants teams of the 90's era where Otis Anderson would punish you late.

Balance is key if you want to make a serious SB run.

Montgomery will be a weapon this year. Mark my words. He's too talented not to make an impact. We all know that Sean the mad scientist is working up special plays just for him. I have a feeling he'll line up at receiver a lot.

Unfortunately, “Sean the Mad Scientist” I think often outthinks himself. I know he likes his personnel packages, and toys, but sometimes just running the ball when you probably should run the ball would suit me just fine. I like Montgomery and what he can bring, but at what and whose cost? Someone is losing touches...I think Murray should should be the workhorse, Kamara used similarly like he was with Ingram, but with a few more touches. And then whatever’s left with Hill. So, where does that put Montgomery? Slot, RB, back to TE? There’s a lot hungry critters, not sure there’s enough meat left on the bone.

Last week, this article was published about the pure talent of the 2020 New Orleans Saints roster. The Emmanuel Sanders signing got all the publicity and for good reason. Sanders will fill the role of the second receiver opposite of Michael Thomas. For the success of the entire team, the roster greatly needs a number three receiver. With signing Ty Montgomery, they very well could have found the guy to fill the role. Ty Montgomery came into the league as a wide receiver. With the Green Bay Packers, he made the change to running back late in 2016 due to team-need. With his wide-ranged skill set, Montgomery can be a backup to Alvin Kamara and still contribute to the offense at receiver. Moving Montgomery back to the receiver position could be key to the Saints’ success in 2020.

I felt from the moment we signed him that he would become the number three receiver and back up to Kamara. Sean is not wasting time doodling while he's at home. He's in the lab creating new mismatches for defenders. Sean knows most of his offensive players tendencies and strengths already. He will be studying film and working up plays and roles for the new players.

Who knows? This may be the year we come out gunning and focused in our first game with this team having so much chemistry together. I'm so very tired of these slow starts!
