Dennis Allen? Dennis Allen is the reason for the postseason busts 3 years in a row. Why would anyone think that Allen would be a good replacement choice?

What about Pete Carmichael? He's as much an architect of the current Saints offense as Payton and Brees.

As long as Gayle Benson owns the team Sean Payton is going no where until he makes the call. There isn't a cooler seat in the league, like it or not. Belichick would be extremely close. Payton and Loomis are tied at the hips and Benson looks upon them both as her sons. Once again, like it or not.

Whenever Payton decides to call it a career Carmichael would be a logical successor.

As for the postseason, I understand a loss is a loss, but the Saints were a missed PI call from going to the Superbowl a couple of years ago, lost on a "Miracle" play just before that. Don't think Payton is the problem. I'm not tired of winning yet.

We lost to the Vikings on a “miracle” play. We still would have had to beat the Eagles and nobody was going to beat the Eagles that year. It was just their year.
Same with 2011. Everyone acts like if we had beat SF we would have automatically made it to the SB. We would have still had to beat NY and Nobody was beating the Giants that year.

How do you know no one was beating the Eagles or the Giants? You don't know until and unless the game is actually played. Nobody was beating the Colts in the 2009 post-season either until we played them.
