Haslett on NFL.COM
When talking about the turnovers against Seattle he almost said Arron instead of Bowman. Old habits hard to break i guess :P
also said that A-Mac made blew about 9 plays out of the ten when he was in. www.nfl.com |

if a WR was open or should have done something like role-out instead of just take the ball from the guard and run up the middle like a scared chicken play.

RE: Haslett on NFL.COM
He said A-Mac screwed up about 9 of 10 plays that he was out there.

Thanks Oldies. Just read where A-Mac is struggling in camp as well. Maybe next year.

I think what Haslett meant by that is the play that was called didn't translate to the field for some reason. McPherson goofed up somewhere, but most of his plays actually did gain positive yards. In other words, he goofed up but made up for it by running. The plays still resulted in success.

If taking us from the 50 yard line to the 5 and almost scoring a TD with a bunch of 4th stringers are on the field with him is screwing up, I now understand why he thought Bouman played so well. Haslett has performance dyslexia. Horrid Dfense looks like improved Dfense, Interceptions are thumb on ball misplacements, losing 34-15 is a good performance. Now I get it.

Yeah but he'll get killed running like that against 1st unit D's all season. He has a lot to learn about reading defenses and game planning. Although Sheppards terminology for plays going into Amac would be simple... "Scared Chicken Play - on two"
|
I'll take "Scared Chicken Play" which is what Mike Vick runs about 50% of the time and KILLS the Saints with over. "Throw to Opposing LB at OWN 5 yard line play - on one"
|
McPherson has potential and years to develop. Bouman's time is up. He will not get any better than he is right now. Its time to ship him out.
