drafting a WR in the second round?
How do you guys think about draftin a WR in second round. One of the prospects i see from the scouting combine is Bethel Johnson.
This is why: At Texas A&M Bethel Johnson put on a show. He threw the bar up 17 times, ran 4.27 and 4.31, and long jumped 10-foot-9. Johnson looked really good in position drills. Never hurts to have a fast guy on the team and may be help Michael Lewis on kick and punt returns. give me some feedback thx |

Bethel still might be there in 3rd round, but very slim chances

Personally, I like to combine the best player available strategy with the need strategy. I don\'t think you should really fully use either. You look for the absolute best available player left on the board when you pick who plays in a position that you could use help at.
In other words there has to be some sort of ranking. If 10 is the highest and 1 the lowest, you rank you needs and the players at each position. Then when you pick, combine the two scores and take the highest. I\'d say wide receiver ranks at about a one or two for us. Defensive Tackle, Corner, Safety, Tight End, Linebacker, and Back up Runningback all rank well above a wide out. |

Andre Johnson would be a great pick up, but there are mor pressing needs by far, and he will be long gone
