CJ Gardner-Johnson Changes Name

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; There’s no doubt that he’s a talented player... but let’s just say there’s a reason that he dropped in the draft. Changing his name twice in the past year is indicative of that....

He can't even spell Seedy Deuce???? It sounds like some kind of foreign fruit with seeds.

Scan past forty years of NFL as social media has evolved, there're instances where a player's side gig became a distraction to his team role; as this team, at least on paper, is so close, some recognize those flags...

First recognized this phenomena in professional and big college sports when following Celtics' Larry Bird and he would warn teammates, younger players to be wary of the Big Mo(ney)...

Well you mean his Rap career. My apologies. I hadn't even seen the whole thread. So I went back to the OP and I see what he said about it. All I would say to the man is "you be you".

Meh. Is he a good Rapper?

No doubt. But becoming an NFL player, especially one with a promising career, so much has to go right - good health, favorable system, playing time - His focus should be on that tract at this time...

If I were a veteran player I'd remind him of those things and tell him keep developing yourself on the down-low, get your football career (and credibility) established, get paid, then do you...

Got nothing against his dreams, just think he should focus on one thing, do that well, build his credibility, then take on another project...
