Epidural?

By his own physician or team doctors?

I’m not sure on that one.

Yep I get L1-L2 and L2-L3 infusion every 60-75 days ... Hate riding that steroid train but helps with QOL.

Give it another 5 or 10 years and I think the treatment for neurological issues will be far better and more advanced. You might have to get that Neuralink chip from Elon Musk though.

How long were you in pain after you had it? Did it fix the issue?

I stayed in near debilitating pain for another 2 weeks after the shot. I couldn’t really walk for 2 weeks prior to the shot, so I was down for over a month total. I’ve had a sort of numb feeling in big toe eversince. I couldn’t sleep. Went from 190 lbs to 170 lbs because I lost my appetite. It didn’t go away until my sister in law gave me roxicodone. I refuse to take medicine, but I was desperate. I finally started being able to sleep and the pain went from debilitating to just my normal back pain I’ve been dealing with since I was 18. That’s when I realized it can be extremely easy to get addicted to pills if you’re always in pain.

I’m rambling. But I work in x-ray so I’ve run the c-arm in thousands of those procedures. Results are a mixed bag. Some people get relief for months, some don’t really get any at all.

Does not fix the issue, the infusions help calm inflammation/pain from impingement cause by stenosis. The stenosis is result of severe back injury age and deterioration which impinges on the Sciatic nerve branches.

Current Fix would be complicated structural back surgery, hoping for progress along the line mentioned by rezburna.🙏

Infusions work but just don’t last. Since 1967.

I get C6-C7 ESI's (Epidural Steriod Injections)as needed about three times a year. Also get radio frequency ablation (RF's) bilaterally of the facet joints C4-C7 twice a year. Those are far more invasive, but work far better for the problems there.
