Not really. As verified by rezburna that procedure, among others, are very common for athletes. I believe some people confuse a common steroid epidural with an epidural anaesthesia. The former is what Kamara had and is to combat inflammation. The second is what can be given before surgery or childbirth to completely mask pain. I know people that have had one for an acute condition and never needed another. Myself, I have had close to twenty of them and they work quite well for my needs. But I have a chronic cervical condition.

Not sure what to believe. Epidural/SI joint/stomach bug/contract? However, epidural is a significant concern. Sacroiliac (SI) joint injection is completely different and not nearly as worrisome. |

I get those twice a year in the facet joints and they relieve chronic pain caused by arthritis or bone spurs.

Yes, regardless of commonality in any industry, he wasn’t bored and just decided to have this procedure. There is a reason. Could be nothing, could be something..., but he didn’t just say: “hey let’s go get some Ben & Jerry’s and on the way let’s stop in and see what the diddly doo is on these injections.”.

Re: Fox8NewOrleans | Report: Saints open to trading Alvin Kamara
Actually, stopping off at Ben and Jerry's is a decent analogy, gosaints1. About a month ago I asked my doctor during my latest follow-up for an ESI to help with some headaches I knew were coming from my stenosis and I was in the next morning at 7:30 and on with my daily routine an hour later. Most of the time is spent waiting your turn. He probably does a dozen or more an hour.

An epidural simply pinpoints the medication rather than a general oral delivery. They are extremely minor procedures and literally take less than two minutes. Like I said, I've had around twenty of them myself. I'd be surprised if a decent percentage of the entire roster doesn't have at least one before or during the season.
