I'll say it again. The worst secondary ever! How do you commit a blatant PI on an over thrown ball.

Re: Saints @ Raiders Game Day Thread

They deserve the L, but once again that was a BS flag. Ball was never in play and they were hand fighting.

Good thing we signed an over the hill, loud mouth, douche bag safety and let a young up and coming one go. Lol

Why would you have a 31 year old corner on one of the fastest receivers in league

He didn’t get his head around so he didn’t know it was an overthrown ball. Ticky tack call, but whatever.

Because Lattimores slow ass would give up a 70 yard TD instead

Now its game over.

Pathetic showing, should be embarrassed at how easily they beat us.

Emmanuel Sanders 0 catches tonight.

Really strange but in San Francisco he was unstoppable late.

Coaching or game planning perhaps?

After beating the Bucs and Golden Boy Brady, I guess the defense started to smoke their own dope. I don't believe there was a punt by Oakland. If they did, I missed.

Some of the penalties were ticky tacky but you have to clean that up. ARod offense is waaay more potent than Oakland.

Tough, embarrassing, demoralizing loss. Better lick those wounds because the Packers won't give a damn about our problems defensively.

Agreed..., next game up, just like next man.

Watch we come out like crazy people against the Pack.
Then at the end of the season we all cry "If only we could have come prepared for that Raiders game, we could have had a higher seed."

UGGH

Re: Saints @ Raiders Game Day Thread

I'm sick of this "0-5 yard passing offense" that Payton has put in. If Brees can't make the throws then put Taysom in, Brees squandered all of Hills efforts in the Vikings game.

Cam Jordan - invisible
Malcolm Jenkins - useless
Lattimore - already playing like he does in playoffs, badly.
Brees - just off in so many ways.

I have to feel bad for Sanders, he was a monster in every other offense and he's been reduced to a decoy in ours.

No one can say the O line was to blame this time, Brees had a near perfect pocket, yet just continually threw dump off passes

I have to agree with this..., at this point in time I would rather go forward into the unknown, than backwards into what we’ve just seen with our QB play.

Malcolm Jenkins stunk it up...he needs to worry about playing football not side drama. He looked like Apple.

Brees had an off night obviously. The team looked super flat.

Well, we could save a lot of cap money because we won't need Morestead to punt with all the Winston interceptions...

That'll never happen if Brees is healthy.
You may be convincing me that Brees is done, however. These 1st two games have been hard to watch. We'll see how the next two games flush out to get a gauge of the 1st quarter of the season but so far he looks weak.

Re: Saints @ Raiders Game Day Thread

After Tampa last week I thought our defense and special teams were good enough to keep us in contention even with Drew’s decline. Figured His football IQ and knowledge of the game would be good enough to win even if there was a major drop off in his play. The way we played against the Raiders makes me think we should try the high risk high reward route with Winston. If this weeks play by the defense is a glimpse into the future we are going to have to put up major points to win games and I don’t think Brees can win any more shootouts.

Re: Saints @ Raiders Game Day Thread

Before we go off the deep end on Drew Brees we have to consider the slow starts the saints have had since 2013, let’s just relax and watch a couple more games.

Raiders - 40
Chiefs - 32

Probably worth pointing that the Raiders have been under estimated and we played a good team.
