Well, the run-game was working until we stopped using it or ran Kamara inside...

Playcall was weird. It was like we went from running on them to when we were still ahead, and with injured wide receivers, we just decided to throw every down. Defeats the purpose of keeping the defense off the field. Also, is Murray just a token running back? We don't do anything to use AK as a decoy and let him blast.

Gruden ran 35 times vs 19 for Saints.

Penalties 10-129 vs 3-13 (Oakland)

Time of possession 36:18 vs 23:42 (Saints)

That's pretty telling on why we took an L.

Agreed, it’s pretty much what I saw also. And of those ten penalties, five of them gave the opposing offense a first down. It gets harder to win when you’re “giving” first downs away.

Admittedly there may not be a connection, but leading the NFL in penalty yards is exactly the type of thing one could reasonably expect from a team that spent a good portion of the off season infighting over identity politics.

Saints 1-1.
It was one game.
I will wait

That and Raiders were like 100 of 100 on 3rd down.

I don't know what's wrong with Lattimore, why does he always struggle against these nobody receivers?

Shuts down guys like Evans, Amari Cooper, DJ Chark and then gets beaten by Hunter Renfrow and some other random player that beat him for 15 yards on a 8 yard curl on 3rd down!

Lattimore better get it together.

Devante Adams is a very good WR.

Trouble in paradise is right. If you win then there is no trouble in paradise. Thank god we left Vegas and are playing at home in the Dome. With or without fans it's still home.

:dunce:

By the way, you never answered why you had your account killed on that "other" Saints site. Possibly from constantly interjecting politics into every thread? Pretty obvious by searching your posts there before getting the boot.

We started 1-1 the past three seasons and won 37 games over that stretch.

Using a tactic of trying to smear someone and avoid the subject matter seems pretty consistent with what I have seen from your posting style so far.

I noticed you referred to it as that "other Saints site." You have been here longer than I have, is there a reason you took that approach? Some kind of rule here that you are inviting me to breach?

Obviously I don't feel I have anything to hide or I would not have used the same username.

Nothing special. That site isn't mentioned here. Still wondering what got you kicked off the site. You appear to have been a long time member, or at least a lot of posts. Was it when you started with the constant stream of political posts or was it something else?

Just curious.

Well, I see we are both going to be at cruising the coast real shortly. Maybe we can sit down and have a beer together and talk about it until your heart's content.

That’s what’s odd about him. He’ll show up for somebody like Adams. I was confused as to why he wasn’t the one following Ruggs around.

Nope. Won't be at cruising the coast. Although, it sounds like somewhere I could move some of the vintage auto parts we come across when picking. We've had an online store for over twenty years that pays for all of our real cruising (onboard ships) and other goodies (Saints games and such).

Nope. I just recognized the name from that site and was curious. I've been a member over there since 2004 and still swing by to check out things occasionally. It is a unique username and I saw it quite a bit on the forum listing pages at one point.

Re: Barry Hirstius | TROUBLE IN PARADISE? Losing Hand in Las Vegas Leaves Saints With Many Questions

Reminds me of a cruise out of New York City up the east coast to Canada. There was a Falcons forum which I frequented and was actually fairly involved (unlike that other Saints forum). Anyway, I was sitting at the bar in the ship's sports pub talking to the bartender about the Saints. After about twenty minutes the guy sitting a couple of chairs down turned to me and said, "Your name wouldn't happen to be Guido, would it?" I said that was my nickname and I used it as a username and asked how he knew that. He said you were saying the same things that AsylumGuido says on our Falcons forum. It turned out I knew the guy from there. We ended up teaming up in sports trivia in the bar several time over the remainder of the cruise. Small world.

Really don't matter Guido, he's here now. You both have different points of view, anyone who reads these post see that. Really don't get why you keep asking him the same question over and over and over and over. You ride a fine line as a mod. almost if not to the point of instigation. Just my opionion.

Actually, I only asked it over once. We have had several members here that have shared stories of having been banned on that other site. I was just curious as to what his story was as compared to the others.

As I said, I only asked it over once. I asked it initially, and then asked it over again. Exactly as I stated.

What is your problem?

Hold up a second - did I read the post above me correctly, you are a moderator on this site?

If so, that may change the way I interact with you. I assumed that you were sort of the forum troll trying to stir up crap that I didn't want the moderation staff to have to clean up.

But, if you are actually representing the site then I suppose you are setting the appropriate tone for the forum and we can let the chips fall where they may.

No. I don't know where that came from. Definitely not a mod. Not sure where halloween was coming from on that one. I assure you that I am nothing more than a very active irritating forum member. I hope that eases your mind.

:D

But, you'll find that this forum is FAR more forgiving than that other place. And I'll take you up on that beer some day. ;)

Re: Barry Hirstius | TROUBLE IN PARADISE? Losing Hand in Las Vegas Leaves Saints With Many Questions

Why was Saints having problems with the Raiders?

Just about any answer will pretty much be right.

Rookies and young talent want to prove themselves and that LV team is full of just that.

I kind of had my worries going into that game because of Gruden and only Gruden, him and Payton have given each other so many fits in the past where these games between them always look out of the ordinary.

If you were to do this same again, Saints probably win it by 10.
