The Great Smiley Debate! (WhoDat to the Rescue)
 

Yes, I know this isn't football related and really should be in the support forum, but since there has been so much talk about this, I wanted to put it here for everyone to see.

Fear not my fellow posters. The Smilies are making a comeback! That's right, it's WhoDat to the rescue!

Apparently, Halo's attempt at "upgrading" to Halo 2.0 didn't work well. During the transplant operation, apparently a med student dropped the monkey brain that was to be put in Halo's head to improve mental capacity. As a result, ssmitty's dog had to be sacraficed. Halo has been out chasing cars and has been unable to get to the smilies.

However, in my new role as Super Administrator, I am now able to facilitate the smiley upgrades myself. Last night, during a pilot test upgrade, I successfully added maybe the most necessary smiley back to the list. Mr. Head Banger.

Yesterday a Mutineer sails in with an Amac altered photo from a rival team site , and shows us what their techies can do .

... one of the things I really like about this site, is its "plainess"... smilies are ok, because sometimes they help to convey the "mood" of the post, especially for posters like Billy :) , but the Panthers site doesn't show what "techies can do"... it's more like what Google Images search can do... at one point, the oversized avatars and blinking lights and funky colors sort of "overpower" the discussions...

..we are men, damn it... the Panthers huddle site has more fru-fru than the mommies site my wife frequents...

A couple of big fights with the webhost and a move. That should explain the site's speed.

I was hoping you were just tied up lately and hadn't jumped ship, too. Nobody writes a logical, 3-page response post like you, dude. Gald you're back.

Not just you. Site is much faster. There are a couple of reasons.

1. Halo moved the site, I think for the 35th time, to a new host.

2. Halo is going through the portal software and trying to back out some of the clugie hacks he setup in the past. Give him a break. After all, he is a Microsoft clown. :)
