Saints Wednesday injury report: Michael Thomas practicing, Jared Cook, Janoris Jenkins not

The Saints have 8 players on today’s report.

G Andrus Peat (Ankle), TE Jared Cook (Groin), and CB Janoris Jenkins (Illness) did not practice for the Saints on Wednesday. Since Jenkins hasn’t been sent to IR we can assume it’s not Covid-19 related.

WR Michael Thomas (Ankle), DE Marcus Davenport (Elbow), CB Marshon Lattimore (Hamstring), DT David Onyemata (Calf), and LB Chase Hansen (Hip) were limited.

It’s good to see Michael Thomas back at practice and speculation has already started that he will be playing Sunday against the Lions. The Saints sure need any spark they can get to turn things around.

I hope Cook is ok. Alvin is amazing but the way we have been using him isn’t sustainable. Got to find a way to spread the ball around more. I want Kamara as healthy as possible when Thomas comes back.

We may be seeing a good helping of Adam Trautman. Kamara's healthy as can be right now and it looks like Thomas is back. You've got your wish.

Marshon Lattimore … hamstring.

Something to keep an eye out on.

In a quiet stadium you can also hear a hamstring pop across the field.

I remember seeing interviews with him after he was drafted and in training camp and the dude was so awkward and timid. I had hopes that the moment was just too big for him but ultimately I think you just shouldn’t spend two firsts on an awkward weeb from a small school.

Was I the only one thinking that maybe Peat being out was more addition by subtraction? If Ruiz can come in and strengthen the interior of the o-line in some way I'll be happy.

I don't want to see Janoris out. He's the Saints most reliable CB at this point in the season.

Davenport is a frustrating dude. Whether his injuries are real or contrived he's been exasperating. I wouldn't call him a bust but he's definately been underwhelming.

I just read on my Yahoo FFL report that Lattimore didn’t practice either...has a hamstring injury...smh

Did anyone else see anything about him today?

I saw the same but let’s be real here... If he’s heard of Kenny Gollady then he’ll ball out, if not he’ll get torched because he doesn’t care. Send him some Golladay stats ASAP.

Don't forget burnt toast Crawley. He could be promoted on Sunday if Jenkins or Latt can't go.

Six Saints OUT on Sunday vs Detroit.

Sunday will be a challenge.

No Pass Rush and both the starting cornerbacks may be out?

Having flashback to a former life where I'm LT(JG) leading morning reveille on the USS Nevada BB-36 and it's 7 December 1941...

No confidence at all, JP? Want to place a bet against our Saints winning?

Make a trade before the deadline. Saints need help at DE in the rotation. Cam, Trey and Carl can't do it by themselves.

Having BOTH CB's out will sting. Stafford is a gunslinger and he'll definitely take more chances than he normally would.

You counting the Saints out this week, too, K? Want any action on that?

;)

Not interested in making wagers AG. Just pointing out the fact that we are getting thin at DE with no effective pass rush thus far.

If Cam J (he's still good now vs the run) ever misses time, we are really in trouble on the edges.

It is always hard to get Sacks against Rodgers. We had six in the first two games. That's right on track with our third place finish in the league last year. We'll have more big sack games.

We've only played THREE games with basically no offseason.
