Never been a Winston fan but I think the guy has talent we will find out this weekend if he can mange a SP offense and and bring in some of he field stretching ability with his arm strength. Controlling the lack of discipline that lead to a 30 INT season last season is the first major test. Hopefully all the positive statements on his maturity are accurate and we see signs of a post Brees in house QB.
I'll have to trust Payton when he say's that Winston is a smart guy. I've seen a lot of silly behavior that would prove otherwise.

You can be a genius and still be silly or goofy.

I was being nice. The guy has made stupid decisions professionally and privately.

But as I've stated before, I like a good redemption story. I hope that he becomes one.

Good.

I wish it was more but I'm just glad Ward was fined. I was shocked we didn't see one flag on that play by the refs. Not one.

Anyway, play within the rules or lose money.

The fine amounts are structured via the CBA.

Hit on Defenseless Player

1st offense: $15,000
2nd offense: $20,000
