Stephania Bell just said on ESPN that the injury to the lung should be healed in a couple of weeks. She didn't seem concerned at all over that. She did say some players return from cracked ribs in two to three weeks and it just depends upon how stable they've become. It should give his shoulder time to heal up a bit, as well.

All well and good being fit enough to dress for the game. But everyone knows he's hurt and as soon as he plays you'll get late hits to see if he can stay in games.

Colston used to sleep in a hyperbaric chamber. I'm pretty sure Brees would have access to one if he didn't own one already. There are also bone growth stimulators that are used to quicken healing of fractures readily available.

If it is indeed Brees wanting a second opinion I'll guarantee you that he wanting to come back sooner than indicated from the initial opinion. Brees is not the type to go searching for a reason NOT to play.

I accept Winston coming in and unfortunately can't control how well he plays.

He did not look good in that second half Sunday, hopefully that isn't a prelude to the upcoming week.
