I’m not beating the drum to make Winston a starter by any means, but I’d like to point out few things. A lot is made of his 30 int (and 33 TD) performance last year and rightfully so perhaps. However, in 2005, Brett Favre threw 29 ints with only 20 TDs. He also had seasons of 19-24 and 22-23 ratios. Winston has not had a season yet with more Int than TDs. PFR also credits Favre with 10 fumbles in 2005.
Now, obviously I’m not saying that Winston can be Favre, but to discard a 33 TD season with 5,000 yards because he threw Ints in a Bruce A. system is a little rush to judgement |
