Coming to realize that's just who Sean is and he's not going to change; he'll regret missed opportunities later...

But in the moment, Sean wants to call a play that everyone will cheer him as the smartest guy in the room...

What he still hasn't figured out, it's football, not rocket science...

I used to have high hopes that Sean would ascend to Bill Walsh level - but he lacks Walsh's humility...

So, true. Style points don’t matter in a win. Hell him winning with Teddy and Taysom shows he’s a hell of a coach. But as you said he’s gotta out think everyone

We may not agree but I feel like Payton is only behind Belichick as coaches go. We could argue that maybe Tomlin and Harbaugh are better but I'd still take Payton.

I agree, ice. Payton is given far less credit than deserved by a growingly spoiled fanbase.
