Marshon Lattimore on covering Tyreek Hill: 'I think I can' match up with him
The league's fourth-best receiver in yards gained this season makes for a nightmare for opposing offenses, but Marshon Lattimore isn't losing any sleep over Tyreek Hill.
Ever the confident corner, Lattimore was firm in his response Thursday when asked about defending the speedster in Sunday's marquee matchup. "What you think, man? You think I can match up with him?" Lattimore asked facetiously, via ESPN's Mike Triplett. "I think I can. He's fast, yeah. But it's football at the end of the day. I feel like I'm a great corner and he's a great receiver. It's a matchup." https://www.nfl.com/news/marshon-lat...ch-up-with-him |

Better be jamming on the line and work against Deonte Harris all week.

These are the type of games and level of competition I grade Marcus Williams on. Cover the top. Gotta stay disciplined with Mecole Hardeman as well. He's fast and elusive too. |

If I were the DC, I'd start out with harassing Kelce with DeMario and/or Kwon and let Marshon then take him one-on-one and using Janoris and Marcus on the Cheetah; put Gardner on Sammy Watkins... And I'd tell our pass rush to squeeze Mahomes from the edges; if we don't get Malcolm Brown back, Shy Tuttle had better be lights-out two-gapping in the middle... Quote:

Carolina gave the Chiefs all they could handle.
Misdirection plays, screens, good run game and Teddy playing out of his mind almost (missed fg at the end) beat the champs. I'd like to see the Saints do similar things offensively. Is KC an elite team? Absolutely but definitely capable of taking an L on Sunday from a talented and dangerous Saints team. |

Tyreek Hill takes almost half of his snaps from the slot doesn’t he?

Re: Marshon Lattimore on covering Tyreek Hill: 'I think I can' match up with him
If DA insists on putting PJ Williams on Tyreek, he'll have 300 yards in the first half.
10+ yards from line of scrimmage and PJ is a liability. I appreciate Lattimores confidence, but I don't think we have anyone that can match with his speed from the slot. Lattimore got torched by Calvin Ridley repeatedly. |

Re: Marshon Lattimore on covering Tyreek Hill: 'I think I can' match up with him
I'd jam, obstruct, well, chip Tyreek Hill at the line with Kwon Alexander, as he comes off, I'd have Gardner on him in the slot (if he's outside, Jackrabbit), move Marcus Williams to that lane over the top...
And tell Marcus it's one thing if Tyreek makes a move in a play, but if he's out-of-position the Saints will not participate in his Free Agency, killing his market... Start with DeMario on Kelce, then Lattimore if Kelce smokes DeMario... Containing Mahomes within the pocket, taking away his feet is the key to a victory - this is the game where the interior defensive linemen need to shine... |

He’s just flat out a playmaker, I’ve rarely seen a player make more out of nothing than he is able to do. I hope he just has an “off” day, lol. It happens..., to the best of us. I would put CJGJ in his face as much as humanly possible, try to “break” him mentally, emotionally, have it affect his decisions. And yes, I would push it hard, to the point of getting ejected. |

I agree, he is the Steph Curry of football. No matter what he throws up it’s completed and usually for a decent gain too. Don’t like him but I respect his game |

I think the Saints will keep Hill contained but Kelce is the guy that worries me the most. He approaches and plays the game like a big WR.
Travis Kelce is a nightmare TE to defend. |
