If the Saints beat KC.....

I believe the Saints are capable of beating KC Sunday, but they will have to play a near perfect game to do it.

If the Saints do win with a banged-up Brees and without MT, that would definitely ratch up the pressure on GB; they won't be able to rest any starters.

If he was still banged up he wouldn't be starting. According to Payton he was able to practice with no pain at all. Rusty, maybe, but hopefully with the full week of practice he'll have knocked that off.

But, yes, that would turn the heat up on the Packers.

You are kidding yourself if you don't believe that Brees is banged up with 11 fractured ribs and a punctured lung.

The ONLY reason that Brees is playing Sunday is because the Saints lost the Philly game, if the Saints had the one game lead on GB, Brees probably wouldn't see the field until the playoffs!

Of course he is still hurt, a fool would think otherwise. I am sure Drew himself wouldn’t tell anyone that aside from his wife. It’s his last shot to play against the guy that’s going to break all of his records. My best guess, Brees is around 80-90%.

I fractured 4 ribs wrestling in my 20s and it took me 6 weeks to be 100%. I’m no Drew Brees, but he isn’t a 20 year old either.

All that said, he gives us a 10x better chance than any other QB we have.

I have no idea what's gonna happen. Maybe the line protects him a bit more because he's basically broken right now. Let's hope so. Because the line has been god awful.

And no Easton. Brees is gonna get killed. Taysom and Crabby better stay warmed up.

Andrus Peat is the guy I'm worried about in pass protection :(.

When Payton threw his asre under the bus from the philly game I hope he got the message. I know where Chris Jones is going to line up.

God help us if Andrus slips.

What a waste of a draft pick that guy is.

A collapsed lung is usually fully healed in two weeks time. That is no longer an issue at all, nor has been for weeks. And he had 11 rib fractures, not 11 fractured ribs. That has been pointed out by others here but continues to be ignored. There is a huge difference. And fractures have degrees. If they were displaced he definitely wouldn't be ready. If they were hairline, then he could easily be ready and pain free. But, I agree that Brees WAS banged up.

The only reason Brees is playing is that he was cleared by the medical team AND given the go by the Saints front office. You know he wanted to return himself.
