Vikings
The Saints have a sordid history with the Vikings and I detest that team.
The true rivalry goes further back than a decade but this is what really set me off: Quote:
Cerullo and Gregg Williams played their parts in the whole debacle but the Vikings, upset that the Saints defense blew up Favre in the NFC Championship game in 2009, ran to the commissioner's office and "ratted" on the Saints saying that they heard Saints players calling for money when Favre was taken out of the game. This game on Friday is essentially a playoff game for the Vikings and I would absolutely love it if the Saints sent them home with their tail between their legs. |
Re: Vikings
Hopefully we get Callaway and/or Malcolm Brown back. Start off quickly offensively, run more than 17 attempts & a better game plan. Justin Jefferson and Cooks are problems.
Knock the Vikes out of playoff contention on Christmas Day. Division title is on the line. |

Malcolm is very under rated. His presence ramps up the the whole D-line. I know that Callaway is a rookie but I really like what I've seen from him. He helps with the return game and he's very fluid and smooth. |
Re: Vikings
Since I live in Vikings country and have seen a good chunk of their games this year, I can give a bit of a scouting report -
- Beware of Thielen's circus catches, especially in the endzone. Take away the fade, make him beat you with another route - If he plays, watch out for LB Kendricks. He is a big-time ball-hawk, tends to make athletic interceptions - Ham is probably a top 5 fullback in the league and they like to get him some occasional touches - The young corners, especially Dantzler, have been getting better as the season progresses. It's not the immediate area of weakness it was earlier in the year. - Harrison Smith doesn't play in the box as much he used to and plays more single-high safety this year. If he's blitzing, it's usually a run blitz. - Their kicker Bailey missed everything two weeks ago but recovered somewhat last week. I think it was totally mental, nothing physical, so it's too early to assume he's toast. - The Vikings OL has played better this year and is not the Vikings achilles heel like recent seasons. The Vikings big weakness this year is lack of pass rush. |

Re: Vikings
I just hope we win this week and rest players in week 17.
Seeing that 3 game lead in the division dwindle to 1 in the blink of an eye honestly has me nervous. |
