Week 16: Saints Tuesday Injury Report

Four starters were listed as did not practice for the New Orleans Saints after their walk-thru on Tuesday.

The New Orleans Saints' first injury report of Week 16 was released this afternoon and included four Saints starters that were listed as DNPs following the Saints walk-thru on Tuesday. The injury report is an estimation as the team did not partake in a full-contact practice.

Here is how the injured members of the Black and Gold stand to begin the week in preparation for their Christmas Day showdown with the Vikings.

Did Not Practice:

WR Tre'Quan Smith (Ankle)
OL Andrus Peat (Ankle)
OL Nick Easton (Concussion)
FS Marcus Williams (Ankle)

I’m over 260lbs, so I could fall down in front of somebody as well as Peat Moss has been doing lately

There is a good chance Marcus Williams is in street clothes for Friday's game.

Wonder if this means we'll see PJ Williams at FS perhaps ?

Mock me if you must but I'm glad that Peat is at least limited. At this point I'd like to see Easton at LG but he's not available.

Looks like Callaway may be back?

I hope that Eastons concussion isn’t bad. It’s been a couple weeks now and that’s not good.

Big picture, I hope Nick is healthy at the start of post season but being out almost 2 weeks with concussion issues is concerning.

You joke but putting your body in front of and engaging the defender is a big part of the battle. Being willing. When you whiff or just let them run past you is where the problems are.

Being willing is one thing. Being able is another.

Rez, you take the boundaries and I'll man the slot. One of us might get lucky! My problem is that I look fast but I'm deceptively slow, nonetheless I've got above average cover skills.

Don’t get me wrong Cruz, I was in no way serious. I realize a 175 lb practice squad punter would take me down on the field. I’m in my 50s. But I bet I could set my weight and hold my front door closed against that same 175 punter pretty damn well.

Notable Vikes who are listed as OUT on tomorrow.

The Minnesota Vikings on Thursday ruled out five players — TE Kyle Rudolph, RB Alexander Mattison, LBs Eric Kendricks and Troy Dye and DE Jalyn Holmes — ahead of Friday's game at the New Orleans Saints.

Rudolph (foot) will miss his third consecutive game, and Kendricks (calf) will be sidelined a fourth week in a row. Mattison suffered a concussion, and Holmes suffered a groin injury last week. Dye suffered a concussion and a hamstring injury in Week 15.

Minnesota listed linebacker Todd Davis (ribs) as doubtful.

Fullback C.J. Ham (quadriceps) and defensive tackle Armon Watts (ankle) are listed as questionable

260? Light weight!

If Peat Moss fell in front of a defender there might be a risk of slowing him down. Blue cheese stuffed-Peat moves those child bearing hips to the side before he falls. :bng:

Easton is out and Peat will be hobbled if he plays. That will make it tougher on the run game. We have to run the ball down their damn throats!

Having Winston back off the COVID list means we get to use Taysom to his fullest. Special teams AND offense. He was limited last week since he was the backup.
