I heard that he will most likely be doing the play by play from home, similar to what Kirk did for the Ohio St vs Clemson game.

Romo is entertaining but I hope he has the energy to pull this off. He knows how to explain the game in lay mans terms and that works for me. Like I said before I never played and I'm still learning the nuances which he explains very well.

Nickleodeon is also covering this game. That's a bizarre little ploy. Intriguing, but not enough for me to watch.

I think I'll record the Nick broadcast just for curiosities sake. It's also being broadcast by Amazon Prime. I watched a game recently that wasn't shown by the local network affiliate one Prime and it was a pretty decent broadcast.

Who is in the booth on the Amazon Prime and Nickelodeon broadcasts/streams or do those platforms just access the CBS feed:confused:?

I enjoy Nantz and Romo but when he played with the star on his helmet I was not a Romo fan:wink::bng:

The Saints/Vikings game we watched on Prime had two crews available. You could select which you wanted to listen to ...

"While Fox Sports and its crew of Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Erin Andrews and Kristina Pink are serving as the default broadcast for the Vikings-Saints game, Prime Video will offer alternate audio feeds featuring Hannah Storm and Andrea Kramer or Bucky Brooks, Daniel Jeremiah and Joy Taylor. Prime members will be able to switch audio feeds through settings on their device and by selecting their broadcast of choice."

We just used the default of Brooks, Jeremiah, and Taylor on Christmas day. We had to watch it on that because the local FOX station was airing some gospel concert instead.

It looks like Storm and Kremer this Sunday for Prime.

Aha! That's the ploy. NFL trying to appeal to women on Amazon Prime and the kids on Nickelodeon. Makes sense.

Just generalizing here but I'll bet that the Nickelodeon broadcast will focus on the silliness of players like Cam Jordan and Alvin Kamara while the Prime broadcast will be of a more dramatic nature and may focus on a story like Demario Davis' little girl and the cancer scare with her eye (which I am absolutely interested in).

I find Romo aggravating, he doesn’t shut up.

This isn’t radio, there are no uncomfortable silences on televised football, only quiet focuses.
