Deonte' Harris … no rust at all. Playmaker & moved the chains.

The FB Burton too. These guys looked great on yesterday.

Only guarantees I'd like to see in football with regards to contracts is teams take out insurance on their dime players that they franchise-tag...

They'd be insured for the guaranteed level of the top three earners at their respective position for a four year period...

This would be a win-win for both teams working to stay within a salary cap and for players who play on a one year deal and get injured...

My one big observation is that Payton needs to stop taking Brees out of the game. The man is one of the best QB's to play the game and sees the field better than any of the other players, including and especially Taysom Hill.

^^^ Agree with this Ice.

Taking Brees off the field on 1st and 10? Wasted down in my opinion.

BTW, did you notice Taysom had a streaking Deonte' Harris open on a post corner and headed to the end zone? Hill held the ball too long & subsequent sack. That was 6.

Gotta be able to make the read quickly, diagnose and execute those plays. If you are coming in on 1st down, make it count if you are taking #9 off the field.

Right there with you. It's a potential drive killer every time Hill comes in when that's the scenario. 3rd and 3 and coming in to run an RPO? Fine. But not 1st and 10.

Yep, Brees has full control of the offense. Sprinkle some Taysom in here and there, but his plays are now turning into negatives for us.

I'm still mad he didn't pull the trigger when Deonte was open deep. The guy just doesn't feel the game at the QB position.

When Brees has the offense rolling, why mess with the chemistry?

You either have “IT” or you don’t by this time in your football life.Taysom has physical talent, understanding what the defense is showing and what is available is just not being processed.

He is a great “Football player” a real dynamic player that bring energy to the team just not a starting franchise QB.

Re: Observations from the Saint's Strong Playoff Win Against Da Bears

-The Bears are not good. Trubisky is decent. Not talent on offense around him.
-It was a win. It should have been a blowout.
-Harris has made so much improvement on offense it's scary.
-Brees, Kamara and Thomas looked good.
-Humphrey was open a lot. Big first down catch.
-Jordan didn't make a lot of highlight reels or light up the stat book, but he played a monster of a game.
-CB's Lattimore and Jenkins are really good when they want to be.
-For the first time, Lutz worries me. To use a golf analogy, he's hitting a push/slice instead of his normal straight/draw. He can't miss moving forward.
