The Saints are a part of New Orleans now and forever. They have always given the citizens of New Orleans and Louisiana a sense of pride, even if the team was losing all the time. The same people that could not afford to get out of New Orleans before the tragedy can't afford to buy tickets to the Saint's games either but they support the team with all their might because it some cases the Saint's are the only thing they have to hope for each year.

I read this same story in the News Star out of Monroe this afternoon. I was already a huge Joe Horn fan to begin with, but this increased my love for this guy as a human being. It shows that no matter the size of the paycheck, it's the size of the heart that matters.

I hope the Organization and the leagure realize that its all the citizens have left. The only thing that represents New Orleans now.

Ya gotta love this dude....

After all he has done for New Orleans outside of football I am happy he got his payday. You will never hear anything negative about the man out of my mouth ever again. And its not just this story -- its all of the things he has said since the hurricane.

And yes Joe -- winning this year does give us hope. If the Saints can win a superbowl than you better believe we can rebuild our city bigger and better than ever.
