Taysom plays. Murray doesn't.

Murray's quad is a bit concerning; if we can get a lead, it'd be nice to have him as an option to eat clock, punish the Bucs' front seven, and keep TomBo and his receivers off the field...

Agree but Montgomery impressed me at the end of 2020. My biggest concern losing Murray is his rush blocking for Brees. We absolutely have to give Brees time this week or we're toast.

Kamara is pretty adept at blocking too.

I don't want my best offensive threat blocking in the backfield.

Not like Payton will commit to the run anyway.

At least Smith and Calloway are back. May not help in the run game without Murray but they can block.

I have a feeling we won’t be seeing Taysom much anymore if we see him at all.

Is JPP can’t go for the Buc’s, may that equals out when it comes to blocking responsibilities.

This helps because Drew won’t be taken out for some gadget or shot play. Those calls mess with the flow of the game at times.

Gonna take away a red zone option though which could really hurt us.

Don't forget about Burton. He's been pretty helpful and kind of an unsung hero for the team. The guy is a good blocker and can catch when called upon.

And some score touchdowns...

The rhythm disruption you allude is because of the failure to diversify the play call when Taysom's number is called in similar situations...

When no-nothing fans actually do know who's getting the ball and where the Saints are going with it, the likelihood of the opposing defense correlates as well...

Unlike other teams who attack reserves, we seem to struggle with guys we've no film; we may want to get that fixed...

Not sure how much to read into it as Teams always seem to get magically healthy against us, however

JPP - didn't practice all week
Godwin - limited and then DNP Today

Might be rest but could be something to keep an eye on.

Or it can create turnovers with a wide open Harris streaking down the field. Or fumbles when it’s time to close out games. Or keep AK from scoring not 6 but 7 touchdowns in one game. Or piss off a first ballot HOF QB for disrupting his rhythm. We’ve got above great RB’s to pick up that short yardage. Ain’t nobody fooled when Taysom comes in the game at QB. The only advantage is that it creates an extra blocker because he’s running the ball.
