I love the college football atmosphere, but I cant buy into a sport that uses a computer & and invitations to crown its champion. Also the OT is completely stupid. And the disparity. Hockey is cool, and we have a fun team in Houston, and other nearby cities. Baseball is still a great game, because they cant screw it up like they do football, with rule changes, etc. There's just something about keeping up with baseball. Its like eating crawfish. Its a chill-out thing. Of course, my Saints are #1. One visit to my home, and you would immediately know. I have a ridiculous collection of Saints stuff. |

of a sports spectrum. 'Any of y'all goin' to Voodoo games? I love AFL football too. Totally different scene than NFL, but still massive fun, IMO. |

Can't go to the Voodo games. I used to be able to...when they were called the Battlewings!!
Battlewings pulling out of Bossier City Posted: Sep 14, 2010 9:32 AM CDT BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) – Fans may be disappointed, but the Battlewings Arena Football League team is headed south to New Orleans. Team owner, Dan Newman, reached by KSLA News 12 just moments ago confirmed the relocation. He would not disclose reasons why, but, said that a formal press release would be issued this afternoon outlining the decision. I liked the pre-Battlewing Benson-owned Voodoo and I like this Voodoo. I just love me some AFL. It's like what dirt-track racin' is to NASCAR; the faster, meaner, dirtier version!
As for "replacements for the lockout", I'm sure there are plenty of guys in the AFL, UFL, and CFL who'd be willing to be scabs. |

to be hockey players. Theyre not doing it for the money. There IS no money. Sometimes you get a guy down from the NHL who's being rehabbed, or punished, or just aging, perhaps--- and he becomes your team's star. so much drama, so much fun, and you can still afford to eat something afterward. |
