Welcome SaintsforReal. It's awful slow around here these days, but don't let that fool ya. It will get quite lively the closer to the draft, training camp, ano September we get. You've found a good home.

Thanks 66. They're in the playoffs again this year. I will keep it up until they are eliminated or win the whole thing. Playoffs start tonight at Centrury Tell against the Arizona Sundogs.

you know, we have 6 kinds of cats in the NFL. why cant they be as creative with the mascots as hockey. mudbugs. sundogs. aeros. icegators.

All they know is what some aide or consultant tells them, and most of their aides and consultants are "yes men" just there to get a piece of the pie. The smaller franchises run fast and hard on a more gut level; look at the UFL and the AFL and the names they use. Names the NFL would be terrified to use. Because some sponsor somewhere might not be happy and it could cost a million bucks if that sponsor decides not to stay on board. Personally, I think I just plain old like teams that use the world "mud". I think Mudbugs is one of the greatest team names ever, in any sport. Right up there with the Toledo Mud Hens! |
