Hello from a long - lost Cajun

I would just like to take a few minutes to say hello and introduce myself. I have decide to sign up for the B&G after following the site for some time. My family moved to Ohio about 20 years ago but "home" is still southwest LA. Our NFL teams are still the Saints and who ever is playing Dallas and Atlanta.
My car plate is LA CAJUN. My dogs are named Voodoo and Roux. Need more proof?

We have to continually remind northerners that:
90 degrees and 60 percent humidity is not "hot and humid".
A one inch rain is really a heavy fog.
The mosquitos aren't bad until a transfusion is needed.
The Big 10 (which has 12 teams) doesn't play "real" football like the SEC.
