HaHa! ... stop it! What next? Matt Millen doing play-by-play and Rob Lowe commentary?

... and Peyton, he seems like one of those guys who isn't going to know when it's time to retire and will stick around until they carry him off. I'm afraid he's going out like Namath and Favre did ... <sigh>.

I agree I bet they carry Peyton off the field in a body bag.

What a mess. I would have liked to see Peyton Manning go out on top like Elway did, not floundering around for a couple of years like Montana and Favre did.

But I guess we put a damper on that in Fobruary 2009. LOL

I agree.

I wanted to start a thread.
So what about Peyton Manning?

Seems that this thread will do. We do not need two. This one can veer off from Rob Lowe's comments.

Some football players go out, end their careers two ways: being financially broke like Terrel Owens or staying too long beyond their due date and leave from being a winner to being a loser.

Peyton Manning comes from a very wealthy two-parent home and grew up around wealthy people so he is financially smart. That is not going to be his downfall.

PManning made it to the top. There is no way to go but down.
He has a serious nerve injury in his neck.
That is going to be there for life. It is as good as it can be. This is a common sense thing here. Injuries like these come from being in the NFL.

The guy had a great career. He got to stay with one team . He won the big game. He played in the big game two times or was it three times?

His downfall is going to be trying to recapture what was. He is going to be traded off to another team. Irsay has all but said so in their war of tweets last week. Irsay said it all last week about the "Horseshoe is most important and that even he, Irsay, was not more important than the Horseshoe..."

If PManning wants to have to have two or more guys as strong as buffalo's with each guy weighing at least 325 lbs. smashing him into the turf, so be it. PManning needs to start picking out his wheelchair and a van.
