I wish they would reschedule the game, it just doesn't seem right to play a game in that stadium 24 hours later after what happened. Neither the Chiefs or the Panthers will make the playoffs, so why not just play the game after the other regular season games conclude in early January? For other teams' playoff tiebreaker formula implications just calculate that the Chiefs and Panthers was a tie game.

neugey, you make a good point.
Tough call, because all you say is true.
Still, advertisers have been paid or paid airtime. People are scheduled to work that such as concessioins, parking people who depend on every few dollars they earn in these jobs.
Plans, plans...but yeah, I agree with you.
For the fans of KCC and team, who wants to be in that building, Arrowhead Stadium right now. The entire broadcast will be about this. The commentators will talk about this .
The coaches, to witness this and , oh gosh.
Tramatic .

From dailymail
Jovan Belcher argued with girlfriend Kasandra Perkins hours before murder-suicide | Mail Online

NFL player suicides seem to be on a rise.
Very uncanny.
Could, the article says, tramatic brain injury be a reason why?

You're 100% right ... a 'moment of silence' before the game just won't cut it so soon after such an incident.

Interesting theory. I wonder along with the TBI theory, they'll delve into a PTSD-type theory as well. Football is not mortal combat, but at the NFL-level, it is extremely violent and prolonged exposure could produce similiar symptoms, I suppose. Who knows how the human mind will react?

It's a bad situation all around, <sigh>.

sad and tragic. Prayers for both families and their daughter. It is heartbreaking to think about her future.

Tough situation. I've gone back and fourth but too many other factors that point towards not playing the game. Sqeeze it in somewhere right before the playoffs.

It was the players choice to proceed with game. Sad day here in Kansas City. I am in my Chiefs gear and rooting for a win!

Yeah, Slo-Mo you probably remember how in the NHL they've had those suicides and other untimely deaths in recent years, which were linked to the players having been more of the enforcer type and therefore having received quite a few blows to their heads during their careers.

Although, I doubt that has anything to do with this case, as it seems that it was more of a jealousy inspired argument gone horribly wrong kind of thing, which led to the player taking his own life afterwards.
