Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a direct appeal to American voters on Sunday to elect a president willing to draw a "red line" with Iran, comparing Tehran's nuclear program to Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh and reminding Americans of the devastating repercussions of failed intelligence.

His remarks were an impassioned election-season plea from a world leader who insists he doesn't want to insert himself into U.S. politics and hasn't endorsed either candidate. But visibly frustrated by U.S. policy under President Barack Obama, the hawkish Israeli leader took advantage of the week's focus on unrest across the Muslim world and America's time-honored tradition of the Sunday television talk shows to appeal to Americans headed to the polls in less than two months.
Tehran claims its nuclear program is peaceful. Netanyahu said the U.S. would be foolish to believe that, using football metaphors and citing example of past terrorist attacks on U.S. soil to appeal to his American audience.
"It's like Timothy McVeigh walking into a shop in Oklahoma City and saying, 'I'd like to tend my garden. I'd like to buy some fertilizer ... Come on. We know that they're working on a weapon,'" Netanyahu said.
The past week, Netanyahu has called on Obama and other world leaders to state clearly at what point Iran would face a military attack. But Obama and his top aides, who repeatedly say all options remain on the table, have pointed to shared U.S.-Israeli intelligence that suggests Iran hasn't decided yet whether to build a bomb despite pursing the technology and that there would be time for action beyond toughened sanctions already in place.
Netanyahu disagrees, estimating that Iran is about six months away from having most of the enriched uranium it needs and warning that letting them reach the "goal line" would have disastrous consequences.
Obama's Republican opponent, Mitt Romney, has said he is willing to take a tougher stance than Obama against Iran, although his campaign has declined to provide specifics. He has also aligned himself personally with Netanyahu, casting the Israeli leader as a longtime friend.
Meanwhile, Obama is reported to have a strained relationship with Netanyahu, chastising Israel for continuing to build housing settlements in areas disputed with the Palestinians.

First of all, there is no such thing. Osama and 22 out of 26 top Al Qaeda members, who were Muslims by the way, can attest to that in their final resting place. Instead of beating his chest and acting like the playground bully, President Obama has taken out people as needed and has been calculating and smart with his assets. As to Isreal, they are a separate country with their own national interests that aren't the same as ours. Isreal is Isreal's best friend. Whatever it takes to get more land and water from Arabs and bring more Jews to the Promiced Land. They'll be our Ally until the money is gone. Iran hasn't attacked anyone in two centuries. Assasinations, bombings, and sabotage has been comitted against them and they haven't retaliated. Netanyahu has been saying Iran was close to having nukes since 1992. His real, longterm goal is to debilitate Iran and sever it's ties to Syria and Lebanon, which will allow Isrealis to control that land over time, rolling back Arabs and providing more terrority for Jews. It goes beyond the current election cycle here in the US and will shoot down that Faux News logic some of you see as the gospel. How many of you want to go to war with Iran and see it as a good idea for our nation? I personally believe we should do everything in our power not to go into another war. The loss of life is too high a price and the monetary cost, which probably will cost more than Iraq and Afghanistan combined, will remove any possibility of our nation ever getting back on track financially.

Once again, and with all due respect, you're completely clueless. Nobody wants to go to war with Iran. Why must you polarize every item of discussion with your liberal agenda? You need to get educated man, and not by your party Mantra, but with the truth.

Iran has lead and continues to lead terrorist nations and sections around the globe with religious rhetoric and with money. While their own people starve the fund terrorist military actions and - by the way - more than Israel have grave concerns over a Nuclear Iran. Inquire to people in Iraq about this two-centuries peaceful Iran. Are you high?

As for Obama, you suggest he has been smart with his resources and with his handling of the situation, yet we continue to experience wave upon wave of attacks against our people, and although his preachings have been for sympathy and compassion and understanding, we are perceived worse now than ever before and the violence escalates. Precisely what part of his foreign policy has been successful? The United States snubs its ally(s) while support the Arab Spring and the replacement of leaders with the Muslim Brotherhood. It finds itself either unwilling or unable to defend itself, and rather than acting proactively it instead chooses to wait until Americans are dead.

Now for your numbers. New America Foundation (non-partisan) says Obama has managed 15 drone kills. They credit Bush with 16 of the same. Regardless, both numbers are essentially irrelevant. This is because their numbers are growing faster than will kill them. To be sure, Obama wound't be there if not for the leadership that preceded him. He has a kinship with the terrorist mindset that is evidenced by the associations he so desperately attempts to hide. It's all right there for you to see. You have to be willing to read or listen to more than the rhetoric of one side, and I can see you clearly refuse to do so.

Obama preaches tolerance and understanding to the radicals, then he pounds his chest repeatedly and brags about killing Bin Laden at home. To be fair, how does a radical interpret this contradiction? You buy it hook line and sinker even though the evidence is right before your very eyes and you refuse to look.
