The Definition of Clueless?

No. Not at all. This reaction, or lack of one, was not born from ignorance. The lack of action is by design. When Americans wake up to this fact heaven only knows.

LOOK AT HIS HISTORY PEOPLE. He was raised from the very beginning for this. From a Communist mentor at age 8 to anti-establishment heros to a racist pastor who Married him and welcomed his children into this world who said, "God Bless America? No God Damn America."

The ones who are clueless are those who allow themselves to be shocked at his approach.

The reaction of our leadership, including the president, to the bleeding and the slaughter of Americans was not anger, not fury, not a terrible swift sword of justice, but a sheepish response condemning the exercise of our own freedom of speech.
There is a near invincible unwillingness on the part of the Obama administration to acknowledge the presence of radical Islamic jihadists. The video may have had some impact on the protests and violence, but are we to believe our embassy was attacked on the anniversary of September 11, not because of the significance of that day, but solely because of an obscure film released on YouTube? I think not.
Radical Islam is antithetical to the American values of freedom of speech, religion, conscience, and equality, and will use any excuse to provoke attacks against us. In fact, its proponents don't even need an excuse, as the USS Cole bombing and attacks on September 11, 2001, proved. By blaming the recent attacks on a movie, the Obama administration refuses to acknowledge this serious danger, while at the same time blaming our own First Amendment.

Not only is Obummer clueless, but he looks clueless as well, despite his numerous attempts at distracting America. Or perhaps it is by design, such that the transformation of the USA into what we all see in Europe is forced unwillingly upon us.

Complaining about the President being clueless, and more importantly the examples you point to to fit your analogies, proves just how uninformed and out of touch with reality you are. WHO DAT!

I didn't buy in to the 'buy design' thing. As much as I disagree with Obama's policies, I don't hate the man. In fact I believed and still believe he is sincere, which is not something I could say about many who came before him.

Still, the more I have learned about him the more I believe it is by design - not with evil intent, but by design nonetheless. He appears to be very much like many people I know, and like them I support tolerance of all people, races, cultures, etc. Unlike Obama and many people I know, I believe there comes a time when you must recognize when you aren't dealing with someone or some people where tolerance is effective (see Nazi Germany for exhibit 'A'). I believe we long ago came to understand this about extremists in the Middle East, and so it is frustrating, with all the evidence before us, that someone could point to tolerance as a solution.

My liberal buddy here at work blames it on our dependence on foreign oil. Obama blames in on a American superiority complex and wants America to involve the middle east to help them feel better about themselves and their accomplishments, although I'm unsure what it is, precisely, he points to there.

The fact is it has nothing whatsoever to do with oil. Yes. WE are heavily involved in that region because of oil. However if we ceased to purchase another drop, the terrorist wouldn't stop. The hate wouldn't stop. The killing wouldn't stop. And if we came home they would, as they have demonstrated, bring the fight here.

It's about religion. More specifically, it's about our support for Israel - once unwavering but recently, under Obama, coming in to question. That's it. That's all. So yes. I think Obama is clueless. I think his decision not to act is a premeditated one - not because he is evil, but because he doesn't understand. His approach is that of the radicals who shaped him from his Mother on up. It is so simple to see, yet so many refuse even to look.
