With the election a week away, I'll make my last comment on it. I think President Obama has done a good job for our nation. He inherited the worst mess in our nations history and has faced an obstructionist Republican party whose only goal was to make him a one term guy. Our countries progress and it's citizens be damned in the process. The one policy I will speak on due to it's importance is the ACA. The health care law is an important piece of legislation for our nation. It will benefit millions of Americans who couldn't otherwise get affordable health care. Preventative health care. Healthcare even with a pre-existing condition. The only reason some people oppose it is because they choose not to think for themselves while taking their politicians words as gospel. Politicians who already have the best coverage on the planet and are only interested in putting it down in hopes of political gain.
If President Obama wins, I encourage all Republicans to demand that their representatives in Washington work with Democrats to move our nation forward. If Mr. Romney wins, I ask and hope all Democrats, unlike Republicans the last four years, will work with the Romney administration to address our nations issues in a positive, dignified, and honest way. It's way past time to stop playing politics with our nations future and it's citizens lives. The path we're on is not a good one. Our greed, arrogance, and denial of the truth's about our country and it's standing could be the end of our great nation if our way of doing things doesn't change. God Bless! WHO DAT! |

Watching you post a few things are clear. Well, okay. Not so clear, because I can only speculate about people who share your views:
1) you don't really care about getting it right 2) the Constitution means precisely nothing to you In fact those of us against health care aren't against it because we're sheep. Quite the opposite is true. We're against it, primarily, because the constitution doesn't allow for it. For that matter if not for the 16th amendment it wouldn't even be debatable, and, for that matter, the 16th amendment itself is ate up with controversy. But you either don't know this or you don't care. One of the reasons people (Republicans and many many others to include democrats by the way) are so against Omaba is because his policies are polarizing. His ideals are extremely radical and his occupation of the white house represents the continuing erosion of the founding principles. You either don't know this or you don't care. It's funny that you appear to believe the Republicans' approach to Obama is unique in some way. It isn't. True, this is the most divided congress since reconstruction, however while you place sole ownership on "The Republicans" you fail to recognize that this congress is polarized because the Country is polarized. Perhaps you'd like to elaborate on what you view as 'our greed, arrogance, and denial of the truth's...'. Because frankly, I find that both offensive and uninformed. It is precisely that view that Obama has presented to the world, and the results are right in front of you should you chose to look. I have little faith in our country because of people like you. Of course you may be a nice guy, but you, like so many others whos numbers are growing, are simply uneducated. You don't take the time to give the other side equal air time. Evidenced by the extreme stuff you post in this forum - clearly one-sided spin - you plug your ears when the other side begins to speak. Getting yourself educated is not easy in politics, but it's worth it if you want to present a reasonable stance and be taken seriously. I'll suggest to you that few people respond to your posts/links in this forum because nobody takes you seriously. Under Obama we have what amounts to an illegal healthcare mandate. Under Obama we have witnessed more erosion of State's Powers Under Obama we have seen the perception of our country decline even further In 3 years Obama spent more than every single president before him...combined - and that doesn't include TARP Under Obama healthcare is more expensive Under Obama groceries are more expensive Under Obama gas prices have doubled Under Obama the trade deficit has increased Under Obama the tax payer is on the hook for at least two failed "green" energy companies Under Obama, most any measure of the economy demonstrates failure Under Obama, our embassy was attacked and we, the people, were lied to in an effort to save his election. People died. Under Obama, virtually nothing he promised 4 years ago has become reality, except his illegal healthcare plan Obama continues to deflect his failures by projecting them on Bush. Nobody argues that the economic issues began to be felt under Bush. Sadly, many (like you) are unwilling to place responsibility on virtually every administration dating back to Jimmy Carter. Few blame Obama, however the simple fact is nothing he has done to improve the situation has worked. Bloating government to increase job report numbers is not success, and yet so many (like you) buy it completely. You're being duped and you don't even know it. Wake up Cruize. You don't have to buy in completely to what the other side is saying, but you'd be wise, and you'd be taken more seriously if you'd listen. No doubt you'd learn some things too. And if you did, people might actually engage you on this forum in productive conversations. As things are now, all you get are crickets. |
