this is a discussion within the Poli-Sci Community Forum; An older man in a leapord print speedo in a public pool. Technically, nothing wrong with it but it would be smart to keep an eye on the situation. The framers were very wise to establish the Electoral College....

Re: Electoral College
I'm sorry but I don't get the analogy, could you please explain it to me? Thou I'm mostly fluent I think stuff sometimes get lost in translation for me.

Re: Electoral College
I admit, not the best analogy. I'll work on it. My point is the framers realized people then were ignorant and could be rounded up like cattle very easily, even more so than today. All it took was one lunatic to get control of the masses and it was game over. By the time the people came to their senses it would be too late. A good example of this type of person is David Duke. Brillant, brillant speaker but if you dig beneath the surface and understand his agenda he's downright evil. Hard to believe this man was almost Governor of La and this is in the modern era. The man in the pool is like that. Kids may think his speedos are neat or cool but the man may have different motives.
