Are You Stupid, Ignorant, Or...
Based on a Congressional Budget Office report from 2009, the liberals are liars and half the country is stupid...or at least ignorant without an excuse. Well, we can base that on a lot of things. Obama is pea-cocking now, spreading this myth that the rich are the reason infrastructure is crumbling and blaming them for the debt HE and his Administration have tabbed and plan to keep on tabbing, at the expense of our children.
It's Bull**** people. The Congressional Budget Office report I mentioned says this: The top 20% makes 10 times what the bottom 20% makes...and pays TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY-ONE TIMES AS MUCH TAX. Now that's just a fact. But it gets even better... The top 1% makes 50 times as much as the bottom 5th...and pays FIFTEEN HUNDRED TIMES AS MUCH TAX. Targeting things like capital gains is nothing more than Obama and the liberals playing on the emotions of the stupid...or at least those who are ignorant without an excuse. It sure as hell isn't going to cover the 3/5ths of the BILLION dollars an hour Obama is spending. Half this country is riding free on the backs of not only "rich" people, but on the backs of those of us who get up and go to work every day and act responsibly. I'm not suggesting the tax code is fine. It isn't. It takes 74 THOUSAND pages to document the U.S. Tax Code. That's just stupid. If ever a thing needed reforming, the U.S. Tax Code is that thing. But taxing the "rich" more - as defined by Obama, Pelosi, and their ilk - as a method to pay off Federal debt, and justified because the "rich" aren't paying their fair share, is a myth I hope none of you are stupid enough to believe. The libs need to keep priming the entitlement pump as a method to guarantee their re-election campaigns. That is is. That is all. Anything else you read or hear is pure marketing. The question is, are you dumb enough to buy it, or are you aware enough to put a stop to it? |

Sorry my friend, but Democrats just aren't smart enough to comprehend these facts.

Snide comments. Bad tired jokes. I get it. You guys don't like Obama. Fine.
I left a long enough post on the other thread. Your solutions? ??? I keep reading here Obama, bad. Demorcats, bad. Republicans , brillant. PEOPLE, BOTH DO THE SAME, MORE OR LESS. Half one way, and half the other way. Keep drinking that good ole Republican brand Kool-aid. Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Regan, Carter, ...retaxing, new taxing, upping tax on Middle Class/Upper Middle-Class is not good and this is where the hardest hit are. Tax rates gomup, this group usually feels it and gets hit the hardest. Trying to over taxing the rich, super rich is not going to happen because as always and I mean going back decades, centuries, this group has ways, means to slip out such as offshore, charitbale causes, company and family name foundations. Tax as the answer does not work. Trickle down econ doesn't work either. How many times must our leaders try this. Equal billing. Demos-tax Republicans-trickle down econ. My issue here, don't drunk the Kool-Aid. Republican brand or Demorcatic brand. |

There's one party who's 180 degrees out of phase with our beliefs, and its the Democrat party. If you read more of our postings on the issues you'd understand completely that its not that we hate Obama and love Republicans, we hate liberal policies and we're trying our best to pull this nation back towards the right, even if its in small increments. I'd bet 90% of the "Obama haters" on this site didn't vote FOR Romney, we voted AGAINST Obama and his Big-Government policies. |
Re: Are You Stupid, Ignorant, Or...
Depends to me on whether you are talking Reagan Republicans (aka true Conservatives) or Boehner/McCain/Romney/Dole Republicans.
I consider myself a Conservative and vote accordindly. When they bring back Conservative Democrats/Trottskites/Etc, I'll certainly consider them. On the later group of R's I mentioned above, I would agree to a large degree that they are not a lot different - they are all "decay managers" and therefore de facto contributors to the problems. Reagan and Obama, however, I would exclude from the list of Presidents since FDR that are "no different". These two men truly were/are transformational figures. Reagan less so because he had Tip O'Neil to battle and bought the lie from Democratic leaders on spending cuts to match the 1986 "revenue increases / infrastructure investments / tax hikes" - however you want to label them. Obama had 2 years of absolute control and was able to implement the far Left's Holy Grail - nationalized health care. So while I can certainly agree that MANY of the current Republicans (and unfortunately many of those are in leadership positions) are no different that Democrats, except for the color hat they are wearing, there is a GIGANTIC difference in the philosphy of the base of both parties. The base of the Republican party has not been represented in a general election in a LONG time... To use Barry's analogy, Bush ran the car in the ditch (the economy was fine 2001 through 2006 - that's what happens when you let Stretch Pelosi and Harry Reid be backseat drivers for 2 years). Obama backed it out and is now screaming off a cliff in reverse at 100 mph. |
