The Obama administration has issued a stern warning: If Congress cannot strike a budget deal, AMERICA MAY GO WITHOUT MEAT FOR TWO WHOLE WEEKS. Across-the-board spending cuts will hit in March if lawmakers cannot agree, which may require a two-week furlough of every U.S. meat and poultry inspector. By law, meatpackers cannot ship beef, pork, lamb or poultry without the Agriculture Department’s inspection seal, which will grind the country's meat industry to a halt. Can you imagine two whole weeks of just fresh fish, shrimp and lobster?

Wow, I guess cutting all the wasteful spending and trimming the excessive pork would be bad, but cutting programs the Government should be funding is better?

Its called holding our asses hostage to get what the spoiled brats want.

Can America really be that dumb?

This is quite funny. I'd loved to see that scenario. Sorry everyone, we had to shutdown half the economy. McDonalds, Wendy, Burger King, Arbys, Taco Bell...there was nothing we could do.
