The Let's See How Many AB Threads We Can Get Going

At One Time Thread.

Aaron Brooks ________________!

The top 4 thread right now are all on the same subject. Why can't you post under the same thread if you want to talk about Ab? Why start a new thread for each different perspective on him?

RE: The Let

ScottyRo - you're the most positively negative person I've ever met. You love to hate lovin' Aaron Brooks! You're a Bash Lover, and you Love Bashers!!!!

RE: The Let

Who, Me?

I've noticed you've been a little conflicted the last couple of days, too. You've probably argued more to the benefit of AB in the last 2 days than you have in the entire previous 3 years combined!

RE: The Let

For the record, I was joking.

I'm not necessarily arguing for Brooks. I still don't particularly like him as the QB of the Saints. That said, the man isn't playing nearly as bad as some are making out. For the most part, he is completing more than 60% of his passes. He's hitting WRs in stride for once. He is avoiding the rush well. He is rarely making flat dumb throws, IMO. Take away a garbage INT and a tipped ball and the guy has what? 500 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT and is completing 65% of his passes in two games. That ain't bad. Sure there's the fumbling problem... that needs to be fixed. All in all, only Horn is playing better on offense right now. Maybe J. Brown is exceeding expectations more too.

RE: The Let

Don't forget Stallworth. He had a very nice game.

From my perspective you really seem to be arguing the same things about AB that you have all along...it's just that now you're suddenly on the other side of the fence since that Monday night game.

Everyone's opinion of AB was probably higher going into Monday night than at any time since 2000 or early 2001. As you know from your years of drug abuse...the higher the highs the lower the lows. AB will find an equilibrium and so will the team. Unfortunately, that likely means 8-8, again.

RE: The Let

The eternal optimist. LOL

I actually think the team is more talented than ever. Of course, that's never been the problem I guess. It's about not killing ourselves and consistency. Not going so well this season in that category.

Honestly, I was really impressed with what I saw against Carolina. The question then is: was that a fluke b/c we always seem to play Carolina tough, or was MNF a fluke b/c we always play like crap on national tv? I dunno. I think what happens against Minny will tell us a lot. That's a team that usually finds a way to stick around and hurt us late. If we can blow 'em up, like other teams have, I'll have fath in a good year. If we lose, I'll probably be the same old negative WhoDat. If it's a close win, I won't know what to think. I'll probably be glad for the win, but withhold judgment until later.
