I\'m still convinced the plan was to grab Bailey with the second, and that the plan failed.

Smitty, with Hand gone, we\'ll no longer be able to trade him along with a 6-pack and your dog to Washington...... I guess Smoot is going to remain moot.

I\'ve been saying it\'s a poor draft not because of who we took, I\'ve said I like the players, but it was a botched opportunity to fill more needs because we took quite a few players that weren\'t good value at that time. The spots we picked in could have beeb better spent, although at the time it\'s hard to see who may fall to you later. But come on, an OT with our second?

Stinchcomb can play guard or tackle I believe. He was rated very high on most boards as tackles go. But I will agree that MAYBE we could have waited. However with Gandy getting long in the tooth, Jacox and Riley still relatively unproven, the pick looks like a good one to me. Just my opinion though.

the saints did a good job of drafting

they just didn\'t draft what we the leymans thought they should draft

no one is more critical of a team than its own fans

that being said i\'m still not overjoyed with our draft but what do i know

I don\'t think anyone\'s contesting that. I think most of us are in agreement that value could\'ve been better spent.

But at least it\'s not the total (and complete) disaster I was thinking it was yesterday.
