In 2003 Michael Bennet had 1300 yards and when healthy can play. We traded Bennett for a 4th round pick. We gave a 4th round pick for some practice team linebacker with 77 tackles in 4 seasons. I personally don't see the value. 4th round is quality, and this kid is a special teamer who can't help N.O.

Bennet wasn't doing any good here. Deuce is a proven starting running back. Reggie is 'Baby Matrix'. Stecker seems to impress everyone BUT me. Jammal Branch has impressed everyone since Stecker went down with an injury. I, personally, think Branch will be #3 even after Stecker has healed.

Maybe we could have been able to get more for Bennet. Is that what you're saying? Either way, I don't find we lost anything. We have a plethora of good running backs.

I'm just saying that value-wise, a fourth round pick is a nice aquisition when you need to fill as many holes as N.O. does. Bennett had some value and a fourth round pick is good. I believe we wasted the 4th round pick we got for him. I don't think we should have kept him, just used the pick we got for him to get a need.

I think we have little depth at backer, but could sign a few warm bodies to get us throught the year..we know what we are getting with shanle because his number tell us the story..he's been in the league 4 years and hasn't made a splash...he will be a good special teamer, but i don't expect to hear his name much this year or in the future!

The Saints on Tuesday acquired LB Scott Schanle from Dallas in a trade, the Cowboys receiving a 7th round pick from the Saints for the move. Schanle was on the practice field on Wednesday afternoon and after practice, head coach Sean Payton spoke on why he went out and picked up Schanle. “Scott’s a player we had in Dallas when I was there, we acquired him from St. Louis when he was waived there,� said Payton. “He runs well, he plays special teams, he’s smart and again it’s another player we can put at the “WILL� (weak-side linebacker) linebacker position. It’s an area we need to keep looking at.

okay drop the 4th. kffl,FOX,WWL all say a 7. I do think payton is that stupid. so put away the ropes. ESPN started this. They have a bad track record for being wronge.
