The quiet game?????

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I just looked at the Saints official website and they are reporting that one day after waiving A-mac and Jimmy Verdon, they quietly put both on injured reserve. Check it out under transactions....

nice move for AMac. I am sure there are some interesting talks on how these decisions are made. They needed someone that would available for emergency on the PS (Fife). AMac couldn't be PUPed the way I understand it. They cannot afford to carry him on the 53. So, collect a check for a year, keep on studying, learning, and practicing and we'll reevaluate new spring.

The organisation owed him. From what has been reported, AMac did whatever the organisation asked of him - fielding punts, playing receiver, db, special teams, quarterback - and has been a model citizen. The kid got totally screwed by the Titans and it would have been low class to cut this guy loose.
