Karney could be ready for Monday
Saints fullback was initially thought to miss 2-4 weeks Friday, September 22, 2006 By Jimmy Smith Saints Coach Sean Payton said Thursday that fullback Mike Karney, who missed last week's game at Green Bay with a right calf strain, has been upgraded from doubtful to questionable, and it's possible he could play Monday night. "Mike got some reps today," Payton said. "I was pleased with his ability to participate." It was initially thought that Karney, injured in the season opener at Cleveland on Sept. 10, could miss two to four weeks.
