RE: POSSIBLE SAINTS 1st ROUND PICKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think you always take best player available. will smith, reggie bush for instance. i also think we hve to get a corner either in fa or the draft that can help us. cause um craft and thomas are not the answer. i am really for us getting a corner.

if horn doesn't do something wit his contract i woud like to see us add a wideout. a pass catching tight end that can block to, man that would just make us so hard to stop on offense. i would really like to see us focus on d in the draft and add a corner through free agency. i am expecting a big year out of reggie this year. you culd see it start to click last year in the second half of the season. i think he has some big plays coming. deuce is the deuce baby. ah man i think i am looking forward to this season like no other.

Your team stinks

WR is a bear for us b/c Horn isn't moving off his contract I think....so maybe we cut him and go for a kevin curtis. I hate the idea of losing Joe for all he has done for the team as a WR though and hope he does stay on.

As far as our 1st rounder...it's nice to not have an early pick again or one of those frustrating 13-20 picks...27 will def. land us the BAP at any of the positions we need like LB, DL/OL, DB. Willis or Branch are really the only realistic trade ups I'd do for a player. I think they are going to be great, but the Sully debacle has me gunshy on Branch, and Willis, even though he did go to Ole Miss, seems to be a quality guy and field leader that would fit the scheme with Shanle, Simoneau and Fujita.

In a perfect world, we get Thomas in FA, and Willis in the Draft...wow...nice depth after those moves, but yikes on the bank acct.

These are the players that we have a shot at from 2nd all the way thru the 4th, from the original list.

LINEBACKER:
Rufus Alexander, Oklahoma 3/4
H.B. Blades, Pittsburgh 4/5
Buster Davis, Florida st. 2/3
Earl Everett, Florida 4/5
Brandon Siler, Florida 2

DEFENSIVE BACK:
Fred Bennett, South Carolina 2
*Marcus McCauley, Fresno st. 2/3

DEFENSIVE TACKLE:
*DeMarcus 'Tank' Tyler, N.C. State 2/3

DEFENSIVE END:
Charles Johnson, Georgia 2

TIGHT END:
Greg Olsen, Miami 2

The BUTCHERS TOTAL after combine and workouts. But they all can play ball. Thats what got them on the list in the first place. Makes you wonder who is this years "SUPER MARIO" over hyped award winner.
