Re: Cut Martin...

It's a lil too early for that. I mean, Drew looked bad also, by the third game he'll be alright, he is a long time vet.

Re: Cut Martin...

I agree blacksaint. I don't think it would be wise to cut Martin based on the performance in the first preseason game. The guy did ok last year in spot duty. However, I am not against Martin and Fife pushing for 2nd string.

Re: Cut Martin...

Heck we might as well axe the secondary too while your at it. Unless some one falls from the sky we go 4 more pregames to go.

Re: Cut Martin...

It's just one game. Our whole starting defensive unit looked bad. No big deal it's just preseason. Martin has a good track record and is a solid backup quarterback. Don't take the preseason too seriously. Fife did look good though and from what I saw of Palko compared to his college days, he looks like he's in great shape.

Re: Cut Martin...

It wasn't just a game... he had nothing on his passes. I'd rather take our chances with some young guns if we had to go it with Martin. He should retire.

Although cutting Martin may not seem logical and that's do to him being in Peyton system, we do need a better back up, we're not sneaking up on teams this year and if Brees goes down so does the team

Re: Cut Martin...

Cut Martin?, and replace him with A. Brooks maybe, I don't think so, there isn't much good Qb out there that we could get better than Martin, give him a chance and also the rest of the team, let's not give up hope on them this early in preseason, it's silly!!!

IT'S ONLY THE FIRST PRESEASON GAME !!!!

I'm STILL PREDICTING THEM TO GO 12-4
