New Orleans Saints - Saints Reduce Roster By Nine

Looks to me like they're waiting to announce the rest,hopefully clearing waivers maybe. Jones, I might add is a bit of a surprise to me. The rest are just fodder. No surprises there. I'll bet there will be some surprises in the rest of the cuts.

Wow. Dhani Jones. That surprises me too.

I remember when the Saints drafted Leisle. He was walking through the Saints practice facility and saw a picture of Sullivan on the wall. Leisle said something to the effect of "One day I'll take that guys job." I liked that he said that and hoped that he would indeed take Sullivans job. Too bad.

Dhani Jones was a surprise to me also I bet Alfred Fincher is breathing a big sigh of relief right now.

I wouldn't bet on him being around long either, unless he did more on special teams than I saw.

"I thought Dhani Jones was during fine, I just knew he make the final cut. Now when I look at the LBs left on the roster, there should have been a spot on this team for his versatility. I know a lot of guys love Mark Simoneau, but I just don't see it in him, he's just not a physical guy and we need a physical guy in the middle of our D. I have to believe Coach Payton is looking at the waiver wire for another LB after the cuts take effect, at lest I'm hoping he is."

Mark Simoneau over Dhani Jones....come ON

The dude can't shed blockers, and he just sits there and waits for plays to come to him. Too passive, and not physical enough to be a member of the dome patrol.
