Sunday's box score
With is 330 yards passing against Carolina, Drew Brees moved into 40th place in career passing yardage in NFL history. He moved ahead of former LSU great and Pro Football Hall of Famer Y.A. Tittle. Brees hs 28,594 yards passing.
Brees extended his record of 300-yard passing games. It was his 27th.
Jeremy Shockey caught a pass for the 103rd consecutive game, the second-longest active streak among tight ends behind Tony Gonzalez of Atlanta who has 140. Shockey has 5,113 career receving yards, which moved into 23rd place in NFL career list, passing Mickey Shuler and Charlie Young.

New Orleans Saints defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove scored on a fumble recovery in the closing minutes to preserve the Saints 30-20 win against Caroina.
Roman Harper had 12 tackles against Carolina, a career high. His previous high was 11 against Green Bay on Sept. 17, 2006.
Anthony Hargrove's fumble return for a touchdown with 2,00 remaining in the game was the seventh touchdown scored by the Saints defense this season, and the third consecutive game.
