no kidding? we are in desperate need of ellis' contributions

dude is fierce in the middle

greer and porter are the only injuries left to worry about

id normally say its best to sit them against a weak opponent.....but the buccs have played 2 very solid games the past couple weeks and im not sure im willing to count them out just yet

i fear this may be worse than the rams game......the difference, the buccs have a better QB IMO and a much better TE......not to mention some very capable running backs as well in cadillac and ward

the bucs have been playing well and i really think the game against the rams last week is gonna help us out in this game. they know they cant sleep on teams now, no matter what their record might be. the more i look back, im glad last weeks game turned out the way it did......aside from porters injury of course.

Bucs game is more important to win than Patriots. We must win EVERY NFC game we can with the Viqueens hot on our heels...

I say only use them in certain situations. So, they can contribute while not playing the normal snaps......getting ready for NE

Re: Ellis questionable for Sunday

Me personaly, i wish they would make Ellis, Greer & Sharper sit out this game... I just think it would be best 2 do that, so that way we know for sure they r 100% come game time Monday against NE. I believe that we should be fine without them this weekend, only becuz TB does NOT have near the talent on offense as they RAM'S do. At the same time, divisional games can go any way at any time... I dunno, thats just my take on it all!!! ( I JUST WANT EVERYONE AT 100% COME PLAYOFF TIME )

Re: Ellis questionable for Sunday

Look we all know that this team is going to the playoffs, and assuming that neither us nor the Vikings have an utter collapse, the road to the Super Bowl is going to be played in a dome, and hopefully THE Dome. To me, that is the most important thing for a Saints team in the playoffs (i.e. not having to go to a Chicago, Philly, etc. in December).

That being said, I think the most important thing for this team is not a win against the Bucs, but it's staying as healthy as we can. This team is going to be in the playoffs, and I'd rather be there with our best players healthy.

Also, I know I'll probably get blasted for this, but going 15-1 this year wouldn't be all that bad. I've read stories about how tense it got around the Patriots a few years ago and how they seemed to lose the "fun" aspect of the game. Not saying I hope we lose a game this season, but I do think that having some of that pressure off might not be such a bad thing.

everybody would love a 15-1 season

but id rather lose the last game because we sit our starters......i think payton is smart enough to understand sitting our starters unless we need to win that game for homefield advantage throughout the playoffs

i dont think we would get nearly as tense because there is no pressure to go 16-0......the pats were a good team before that and they were required to do well.....we are a historically terrible team and there is only pressure to not suck
