Closing the playbook??

After the Saints won 13 games, won the division and became a virtual lock for the playoffs, how much of the playbook do you think Payton and Williams shut down?

It seems to me (especially vs Tampa Bay) that both the offense and defense seem to be playing a pretty "vanilla" scheme.

If this is actually happening I, for one, am completely for it. I hope that both coaches are trying to give our playoff opponents as little as possible to expect from us.

Has anyone else noticed this? Do you think it's a good strategy?

Re: Closing the playbook??

It is very possibly a strategy that Payton is using to keep opposing teams from getting any insight into the playbook. GW has had to be more vanilla with the backups that he is putting on the field and it isn't effective however, I have faith in the coaches(except for the special teams coach).
