Saints on list of Top Ten Snakebit Franchises.

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; No one mentioned that we also made NFL's Top Ten list of Team Turnarounds. Not all of those lists are against us!...

There's a difference between being snakebit and just plain bad and we were the later for about 30 years.

It's a good thing SP brought his anti-venom kit when he came to the Saints.

This is going to sound controversial, but I do have a theory. I believe that over the years that we have been unlucky not only in the way the ball bounced, but in the way the game was officiated. If you have it in your mind that someone is an idiot, you are going to be paying special attention to point it out. Pre Sean Payton, it seemed like we were the whipping-post of the league not only by other players but especially by the officials. jmo, though.

Agreed. Jerry Rice DID fumble the ball before he ever got close to the goal line, but the refs couldn't call anything against San Francisco back then... Just the first example of many that could leap to mind.
