Ricky Williams

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I know we have Duece and I really like him. I think Duece will remain a great RB for many years. Still I can't help but wish that we still had Ricky. I just think Ricky is probably a Hall ...

Duece maybe a Hall of Fame RB (he has certainly carried this team) but I'm not sure yet. Anyways Ricky probably wouldn't have become the back he is today had he not gotten traded. It woke him up and gave him something to prove. Still I wish Ricky was in a Saints uniform still. Again this is no way a knock on Duece . . . he has more than proved himself.

I love Deuce, but I feel that way sometimes, too. I like to watch runningbacks bulldoze over defenders. When I watch Ricky knock guys over, I get a lump in my throat. :heartpump:

Go Deuce! :P

Rickey has three more years (about 4000 more yard) as a starter than Deuce. So Ricky has had a chance to prove himself. If Deuce can stay healthy (which is the real question with any back that has a great season or two) then he\'ll have numbers very similar to Ricky\'s, and Deuce will have gotten those numbers in an offense that is not as dedicated to the run as the dolphins (I know it seems like all we do is run deuce left then right then up the middle) Ricky also has the advantage of playing with a quality defense, meaning that his team can stick with the run more of the time than the saints.

One of the few occasions I agree with BillyC. Deuce is a much better back. He runs as well, blocks better, and can catch. No seconds thoughts on this trade.

You know, Ricky Williams of the Indianapolis Colts.
I know you haven\'t forgotten the game he had against us three weeks ago.
